This Northern Virginia kitchen remodel by Fineline Kitchens sets crisp white recessed-panel cabinetry against charcoal subway tile that climbs all the way up the vaulted window wall. A curved painted wood range hood anchors the cooking wall above a KitchenAid double-oven range, and lighted glass-front uppers run along the top of every cabinet run.

The oversized island has a white veined countertop, turned furniture-style legs and four wood swivel stools under wood and metal ring chandeliers. It holds a microwave drawer and deep storage drawers. Pull-out spice racks flank the range, and the refrigerator is hidden behind custom panels next to tall pantry cabinets. A farmhouse sink sits under a large window that looks out to the trees.

Across from the island, a dedicated beverage bar has its own bar sink, a glass-door beverage fridge and reclaimed wood shelves on black iron brackets. The kitchen opens to a two-story family room with a stacked stone fireplace.
